The Director of WAAO Theresia Gratta would like to extend her warm thanks to all those who made the 14th October 2012 exhibition a success. Special Thanks should go to American Garden, TBC and Mlimani TV. Also special thanks should go to all the schools that attended and participated in the exhibition and all the WAAO volunteers. She then would like to warmly welcome you all to the Second Children Arts and Culture Festival to be held on the 7th and 8th of December.

Children are invited to participate in the Festival and win various prizes. Parents are also requested to attend and see the greatness of their lovely children in the arts.

The Nyerere Children multimedia exhibition

A multimedia exhibition for the children was conducted today the 14 October 2012 at the Tanzania National Museum and House of Culture to honor, respect and remember the late father of the nation Mwl. Julius Kambarage Nyerere who passed away on 14 October 1999.

After the visit it was time for the performances at the house of culture theater hall. Before going to the performances, children received present from the sponsors; American Garden.

 After a great speech it was then a time for the performances. The performances started with Karate from Mabibo Islamic followed by Dances and songs from various school, all to honor the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere. After each performance there was a question and answer sessions where children were asked questions and those who got the right answer were given presents.

The 2nd WAAO Children Arts & Culture Festival

 Are you ready? If you are not then this is your time.

The 2nd Children Arts & Culture Festival is just around the corner. This year the festival will be held on 7th and 8th December 2012 at the National Museum and House of Culture which is opposite to the institute of Finance Management (I.F.M) in Dar es Salaam.

The festival this year will carry the theme, "Participation and access to the arts is a right and not a privilege".

The festival will feature workshops for children, exhibitions and performances from the children to their fellow children, parents and the society.

Various Stakeholders, schools and groups are urged to prepare and register their items with us. The deadline for the registrations will be 1st October, 2012. We also invite sponsors to sponsor some items that will feature in the festival and at the same time advertise and showcase their products.

The 1st Chilren Arts Festival

Hatimaye tamasha la kwanza la watoto la sanaa (The first Arts Festival) lafanyika. Tamasha hili limefanyika leo hii tarehe 17/12/2011 kuanzia saa 9:00am -4:30pm. Tamasha hili lilihudhuriwa na watu mbali mbali na maonesho yalifana sana. Yafuatayo ni matukio katika picha.
